rollback

[edit]

Hi Allninemice. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

 • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
 • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
 • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
 • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
 • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 17:03, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete my edit? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2804:7F4:C783:F2A2:E5FC:875A:8D49:9933 (talk) 03:11, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 2804:7F4:C783:F2A2:E5FC:875A:8D49:9933, I reverted your edits because they didn't appear to be constructive. Sometimes I make mistakes, so feel free to make the edits again if you feel they are within Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ~ANM🐁 T·C 03:22, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stopping the categories from appearing in my sandbox

[edit]

Thanks for "removing" the categories from my WIP draft of my additions to SnowRunner. I had simply just copy and pasted the entire article without even thinking about the categories so I could work on it as if it were actually the article without the consequences of it being the article. Blaze The Wolf | Proud Furry and Wikipedia Editor (talk) 23:25, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No problem; If not me, someone would have done it soon enough. Sandboxes are a good place to stage edits, and it's not a big deal if you forget to remove the categories sometimes, someone else will probably come and fix it. ~ANM🐁 T·C 04:01, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cookies!

MelecieDiancie has given you some cookies! Cookies promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. You can spread the "WikiLove" by giving someone else some cookies, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend.

hi, thanks for being a regular in recent changes and sometimes being ~0.25% faster than me in reverting edits!  | melecie | t 03:49, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To spread the goodness of cookies, you can add to someone's talk page with a friendly message, or eat this cookie on the giver's talk page with !

Hi melecie, thanks for the cookies! sorry for not replying to this sooner, I know I saw this yesterday but I guess I forgot. :P ~ANM🐁 T·C 02:54, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! New user asking for help

[edit]

Hi, I am a new user, and I would like to ask you for some help. I saw your anti-vandalism work against the user AanyaP8 since I noticed he created a talk page for Kebena with irrelevant text. I have no prior experience editing Wikipedia, so I would like to ask if you could help me take a look at my anti-vandalism attempt and give me any input on what I may have done wrong or how I could improve? I'm also unsure if there are tools or simpler ways to add links when editing, whether it be links to pages or to sign off at the end of a message/comment with my user link and timestamp. I tried my best to manually type out any links and timestamps I think I needed to edit by emulating other people's comments, but it seems like a lot of work. I also don't really know if there are formats, protocols, or etiquette I need to follow and I don't really know if there is any easy way to find out, e.g. for vandalism warnings, signing off (what's the four tildes thing), etc. Thank you, any assistance will be appreciated! Sentimex (talk) 10:36, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sentimex, welcome to Wikipedia! Your anti-vandalism attempt looks fine to me. For signing your posts, typing four tildes will produce your name and a timestamp automatically (see WP:TILDE for more info). There are a number of user warning templates that serve as premade warnings, but these are not required; you can always write your own warnings. The templates can be used like ~~~~ and most have four levels that are used in order. As far as I know there aren't any tools to help with linking, and I just use normal wikilink syntax; tools like Twinkle or RedWarn can be used to simplify warning users. A list of protocols/etiquette can be found at the list of policies, but you can mostly just use common sense, i.e. with the civility policy.
Giving you so many things to read at the same time probably isn't very helpful so if you have any specific questions or need clarification on something I'm happy to help!

Hi, thanks for the reply! I knew some things like signing off had to be simpler than having to type everything manually and checking the UTC clock. I shall try the four tildes here! Regarding creating links, is there a tutorial page for how to do so? I have only been able to create links so far by manually copying existing links on a page. Sentimex (talk) 13:32, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Sentimex: I'm pretty sure the visual editor has a button to insert links, but outside of VE you can use the syntax described at Help:Link. Article will link to Article and display as Article, while Text will still link to Article but will display as Text. ~ANM🐁 T·C 16:38, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
